Over the past few months, sometimes I felt like we have a toddler! (Crying, always wants to always play, doesnβt listen, needs to go outside every few hrs, takes naps, many vet appointments, and we even watch him on the security camera during nap time or when we leave the house!) I’m beginning to feel like a real parent now that I’m REALLY sad watching him grow! He’s changing a lot and we are growing closer as a family of 3. π He’s 99% potty trained, knows quite a few tricks and he’s FINALLY cuddly but I’m really sad he’s losing his puppy fur! We were SO excited for our family photo session! I’ve already ordered 5 of these images to frame in our home. (Thank you, Katie Hauburger) Here are a few updates on Steel since my last post:
Enjoys walks since last week! Before we would basically have to drag him everywhere. π
Tricks: “Sit”, “Lay down”, “Up”, “Stay”, “Handshake”, “Come”, “Go see daddy”, and “Go see Mama”.
Over the past few weeks he has become a cuddler. He still loves sleeping alone when he’s extra tired but he is always laying on my feet (especially when I’m cooking) or sleeping right up against us on the couch before bedtime. (By the way, he’s still crate trained and that has been a lifesaver!!)Β
When we say “let’s go home” we drop the leash, he puts the leash in his mouth and RUNS home SO PROUD π It’s HILARIOUS
He will grow to be 25 lbs but right now he’s 13 lbs and when we got him he was 6 pounds! π
Losing his puppy fur. He’s growing in red curls on his back and has a white chest so we think he will be a mixture of blonde, apricot and white.
FINALLY potty trained! He was a quick learner so we are very thankful. (This breed is REALLY smart!)
This picture is my absolute favorite! I think it captures his personality perfectly!
I love the picture to the right because it looks like he’s laughing! π I’m thankful he’s always smiling for pics. π
xoxo,
