I’ve never chosen a “word of the year” before so I decided to hop on this trend. Since I’m extremely indecisive, I couldn’t just choose one. 😉
Last year I established a morning routine and started day blocking. By working smarter, not harder and incorporating consistency into my lifestyle, I’ve been able to be much more productive. Being an entrepreneur can be difficult because each day always looks different. I’ve learned to put all of my tasks into one category for the day so that my mind is able to focus better than ever. For example, there will be days that I will only work on editing sessions and at least one day a week to clean the house and grocery shop without working. My goal is to remain consistent with my morning routine and maintain my healthy, whole foods diet.
For as long as I can remember I’ve been a pessimist. (Not the quality I’m most proud of.) Over the past few years I’ve completely changed my thinking and I’d like to continue to improve my positivity in 2019. Choosing joy is the best way to live this life. The truth is that your thoughts become your reality. I want to be known as a woman that is grateful and believes that everything will always work out for good. I’ve framed this verse on my desk to keep as a reminder.
“whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8)
My resolutions this year will revolve around these two words. I’m so grateful for every new year to learn, grow and change. I hope that you celebrate the little things everyday and that this will be your favorite year yet!
